Here they are, our two new mustang mares from Devils Garden California. The darker bay is Fancy, a 10 year old mare from the 2020 round up. She was overlooked, had a skin issue on her face and is underweight at the moment. The long haul and stress can take a lot out of these horses. The lighter mare with the facial deformity is Katarina. Kat is from the 2021 round up. She is 16 years old. Her deformity is from a trauma when she was wild. This is not a birth defect. What a survivor!
